    Has anyone had an experience with this organization?

    Yes. I've been a member for many years. It's probably no more worthwhile than any of the myriad organizations I've joined. They do have a nice program where you are supposedly able to test equipment and keep it. They also give cute trinkets to entice you to get longer membership. The magazine has some interesting and some useless articles.

    Don't take this as a recommendation, it's merely an opinion that it's not a total ripoff. It's nothing special.

    I was a member, and even got to try out some really nice golf balls. Other than that, you get a lot of junk mail, which may or may not be useful to you (depends on how much golf stuff you buy). Doesn't cost much to join, but might be more worthwhile to spend the money on a lesson or a magazine subscription.

    All opinion though.

    Yeah, you get put into a draw a few months after you sign and become eligible to try out the free equipment with the thousands of others that also sign. Thats what happened to my buddy at least.

    A friend of mine joined and took advantage of the free pass for a PGA tour event at the Canadian Open a couple of years ago - a Thursday round I believe. That was the only thing that really made it worthwhile.
