fitting question
Ok guys…. remember I am a beginner at this.
My 5 iron has 306 cpm in a 5 inch clamp without a grip. I prefer my clubs a little softer than stiff so this should be good for me . I think?
Now if I want to match my 4, 3, and 2 hybrids would they then be made to 302, 298,and 294? My 4 hybrid is now is 283 and my 3 is 391. If they could be adjusted approx how much would I have to tip and add in a butt extension? Or is it too much and I should just get new shafts and fit them?

Reshaft. You can't alter a shaft that's already been tipped.
You will cut away in the softer section i.e the tip and add a stiffer section i.e the butt. No can do.

You should know that a 5 iron at 38" and 306 cpm's is on the border between senior plus (A+) and regular (R) using Kaufman's chart for the frequency analyser that he sells. (Club Scout - 5"clamp)
While this is butt frequency only, your clubs are already "soft." "Stiff" would be 319 cpm's.

fitting
Ok so I must be doing something wrong. I dont have a copy of the Kaufman's chart.
The original 5 Iron I was talking about has been soft stepped once (I10 with zz65 shafts) Club is 38 3/8 without grip.
I also have a set of s59s with zz65 shafts 38 1/4 313 cpm, and I have a second set of I10s with stiff AWT 38 3/8 313 cpm.
Are they all reg?

Frequency measured with the grip on will come out at least 6-10 cpms softer.
I have all the charts and instructions for the Kaufman Club Scout. I can fax them or mail them to you.Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.
