    Breakfast

    Happy new year, all.

I love going out for breaky and it is getting increasingly hard to find a good, greasy spoon to get a good breakfast at (spending $12 on breakfast is crazy). Just curious - where do you go?

Depending which end of Kanata you're in there are 3 breakfast places we hit up on the weekends.

Either Local Heroes off March rd, Gabriels on Stonehaven (off eagleson), or Colonade pizza on Hazeldean. All have excellent FAST service and good prices too.

IKEA has breakfast for $1 on the weekends. Can't beat that.

Woody's on Elgin, before 11am I think is $3.99 for bacon, eggs, toast, home fries. Outstanding.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

I remember going there a year ago or so (after the bar) and I think it was like 13 dollars for the breakfast I got! But it probably was not the cheapest thing on the menu... But when your drunk... who cares how much it costs!

How is the Ikea breakfast? I usually have my breakfast late morning so don't want to fight the crowd at Ikea on the weekends.

it looks good in the picture . I've never bothered to fight the crowds. That being said everything else I have had there has been decent.

There's a place off Preston that's pretty known when it comes to breakfasts. Don't remember the name but I'll find out.

I recall a similar thread a few years ago...

I think Ikea is the cheapest place around, but perhaps lacking in greasy spoon charms.

I will say Eggspectations and Cora breakfast are over priced and I've had long long waits and generally poor service at both places.

Nope, it's right at the beginning of Preston, the south end, one street over to the east.

For me it's all about the hashbrowns.

Ya, they probably have a lot of breakfast items, but i remember always getting a basic breakfast (2 eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast) for about 4 bucks. Great way to spend a morning spare.

stoneface dollys has the best breakfast in town IMHO, though not the cheapest. Best hashbrowns that I have found is at woody's.

Is the Chances Are restuarant still opened up at college square? Used to be a great place for breakfast. Coffee was top notch.
