I'll say.
My last round was Nov 17th at Greensmere, meaning we are still closer to the last round of last year than we are to the first round of the new year.
I know I'm getting desperate when I break down and play indoor golf, which usually ends up being a lot of this:
Having said that, I just booked Golf-O-Max for Jan 16...Al Gore didn't invent the internet, but he did invent global warming.

I'm going to predict my first round of the year will be either March 15th or 16th this year
Also had a bit of a taste with a tour of the new Greyhawk clubhouse yesterday. Very nice facility! It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

I confess that my 2010 season began on January 1st. As for today, I've played 5 rounds on spectacularly conditioned courses.

Luckily for me I will be playing in Florida in early March. Hopefully it won't be long after I get back before the season starts here.

what normally is the season beginning to end there? I was talking to geoff in ott a few weeks ago and he said he played golf in the first week of dec. So you guys had an unusually long season like we in TO did.
BUt normally speaking..when does it begin and end. Here there are a couple dog tracks even open in the winter, so in theory third week of march...until usually first or second week of nov..with just the odd course open til end of nov.

Looking at this makes it seem so much closer.... I can't wait to tee off my first hole...... Though, it will probably be me dropping for 3.
Last year i was out at dragonfly and I remember there was still snowbanks around the greens and once on the 9th hole it was hailing... lol...

Countdown
Shark, we usually start at the end of march and if we are lucky we go till december. It all depends on the snow or cold and every year is different.I think you herd that in 2006-2007 we played in January here in Aylmer so that was a bonus and started right back in march 2007.

I consider golf season open when the greens are rolling fast. Is the general consensus around here that Outaouais has the best greens when weather isn't great?

the only issue with the first couple rounds, is that low lying greens are always soppy and wet and quiet slow....but no matter what the conditions are for the first few rounds...its always worth the winter wait!
