    KB Tours

I've been after a set of these shafts for a while to try and decided to pick up a set for my fall/winter project. I picked them up on e-bay for $170 shipped, so I couldn't pass them up.
Any comments on how they will compare to the DG X100's..
I picked up a set of i10's and the AWT shafts just didn't work for me....I shafted them up with the DG X100's and have one of my best ball-striking rounds of the year, but the KB Tours seem to be gaining poularity from alot of people lately so I've gotta give them a try.

The description I hear most often for the KB's is that they play very much like a PX but less harsh. Personally I never found the PC to be harsh myself.

I try the Adams Pro Black at GT every time I go in there and the KBS Tours feel very nice. Very much like my PX's but maybe with a tad more feel, def not anything major. If you don't like PX's I don't think you'd like these but if you do than you'll prob like the extra smooth feel. I'm not a fan of DG's S or X as I find they feel dead so you may really like the feed back or find that its too much of a change. Basically throw them in and take a swing!

    Thanks for the input fellas....
I'm gonna go with the 6.5's and soft- step them one club and see how they feel. I like the lower bal flight of the DGX100's and they do have the feel I prefer, but I'll try the KB's and go from there...if they don't work out, they'll be of for sale in the spring.

My personal experience......it hits the ball way too high! They definitely feel softer than the PX (I had the KBS 6.5). The ball didn't ballon though. I already hit the ball really high and these were unfortunately not for me.

That's the understatement of the decade right there. You hit the ball a mile high with the PXs.

I hit the ball much higher with the KBS. I even got a call from the Ottawa Airport requiring me to take the flight of my ball down!!!

I decided to go back to PXs. I tried to play with X-100s but they just don't feel right to me. I obviously hit them lower but have to sacrifice too much on the feedback.

I have always hated the DGs feel.

If you are looking for something less pricey than a PX but still with pretty good feel and lower flight the FST Pro 125 are a good choice. You can also change the tip trim as required which is nice.

I use KBS Tour 6.8 133g in my set of blades, in order to reach the same type of flex/freq than the X100 I used to play before.
I must say the shafts are way different and unfortunately, I prefer the X100.

The ball goes really high with the KBS. It's true feel is better due to the soft tip but it's hard to keep the ball low with a nice little spin. I like my shaft to be "quiet" at impact and with the KBS, all the ratio are increased: ball flight, ball side spin, ball backspin...

I can't compare them to PX as I am not a big fan of the Rifle line, but compared to X100, it's really something different. Not better or worst, but simply different. I play them for 8 months now and I am still unused to them...

For the moment, the only part of the game where KBS are far better than X100 is on short game. Feel is really nice here.
