Disney seems to be the only company that can work around it, because kids can't seem to grasp the fact that any movie featuring special-forces guinea-pigs should never be green-lit in the first place. I'd like to see how Disney would do if they didn't have pixar putting out pure gold ever year or so.
That being said, I'll watch any of the POTC movies if I happen to stumble upon them on TV. Why? two words... Kiera Knightly.
Going to see Avatar in IMAX this afternoon.Let's put a Smile on that Face!

Sak I have always been baffled by the popularity of those movies as well. I can't comprehend how it is on that list.

Ya I can't stand her and I might throw up if I see her naked. Hope she never does a nude scene. The uber skinny is not my type.

On BNN this morning they're saying 3D TVs are about seven years away for the 'regular' consumer market. I don't think I'd want a 3D tv personally.

The issue with 3D TV is going to be the same as HD broadcast, content.
There are still a lot of people without HD service yet and it has been around for what, 8 years now? As someone who has had HD from almost the beginning the amount content has really only been acceptable for the last two years.
The transition to 3D will be even slower if you ask me because the delta from SD to HD was huge. HD to 3D HD is not as big a jump. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

For me it's about the sports. Are ALL the camera angles going to be HD 3D? Doubt it. HD is amazing, let's just improve on that technology and availability.

Depressed after 'Avatar'?
"Ever since I went to see 'Avatar' I have been depressed. Watching the wonderful world of Pandora and all the Na'vi made me want to be one of them. I can't stop thinking about all the things that happened in the film and all of the tears and shivers I got from it," Mike posted. "I even contemplate suicide thinking that if I do it I will be rebirthed in a world similar to Pandora and the everything is the same as in 'Avatar.'"
personally I hope this person seeks some help for his mental problems.willy

you've gotta love the americans. I bet there are theatres in the states where you can bring a bucket of fried chicken and a hamburger into the theatre with you. Come to think of it, I'm fairly sure there was a Burger King at Silver City... Could I bring a whopper into the theatre there?

No i wouldn't call it preachy at all. Just impactful... Is that the right word? The message isn't told, it's more realized.

I can't get my hands on a copy of the blu ray of this movie today. The dvd is $17.49 at Wal Mart and Zellers, but they are all sold out of blu-ray copies.
My son is having a friend over tonight, I guess they'll have to play outside.Andrew
