Whatcha Watchin?
With the holiday hiatus here, I'm just wondering what everyone has been watching this year.
Fringe - (S2) is still going strong. It's amazing what you can do when you have alternate realities as plot devices.
Flash Forward - It's got it's ups and downs, right now it's just good enough to keep me tuning in every week.
V - I doubt I'd watch this if it wasn't on Tuesdays, but it's got no real competition, so it's another one on my PVR rotation.
Mentalist - Maybe I'm too picky but this is another one that I probably wouldn't watch every week if the long-running Red John storyline wasnt there.
Big Bang Theory - Probably my favourite comedy on TV.
The big surprise hit of the season was Couger Town for me. Not sure if it falls under the sitcom umbrella, but its got its own feel which I really dig.
As soon as I heard about BBQ Pitmasters I got really excited. With the exception of Myron, the people on the show kind of suck, but 1 hour of BBQ meat is just awesome!
In the end, all of these are just holding me over until LOST comes back for the final season. The finale last year was baaaaaaad-ass!
Man I watch a lot of TV. Good thing I skip through all the commercials.Let's put a Smile on that Face!

Not watching too much besides football these days, but the only shows I usually catch are the Office and, embarrassingly, the Ruins. Watched Mad Men when it was on, also Curb and Entourage though it's been pretty sucky for the past few seasons. Definitely looking forward to Lost coming back.

Yes, Big Bang Theory is very funny. I also watch the Office, Dexter, Entourage and am looking forward to Lost as well. Because of the PVR I also usually watch Bones and NCIS.
I throw The Big Break into the mix as well, if for no other reason but the fact that it is golf during the off season.

What happened to "V"?! I know its terrible and all, but we were watching for it in HD on Tuseday night & it seems like its been mia for a few weeks. I was sure it got yanked.
I remember the original "v" miniseries from when I was in elementary school.Andrew

Me too. I was really looking forward to the new V, but this series just didn't do it for me. I wouldn't be surprised if it did get yanked.
For TV watching I pretty much stick to sports, news, and Dragons Den which I think has ended for the season.
I secrectly think the writing in Glee is superbAl Gore didn't invent the internet, but he did invent global warming.

I've finally started watching reruns of the American Office (because my wife has been watching it, and its on all the time) & I have to admit I like it quite a bit.
We also seem to watch a lot of Arthur at home. Its the best kids show ever. EVER.Andrew

Yep, the American Office has been quite good, once it stopped trying to be the British Office. The first episode - an exact copy of the first British episode - was atrocious, but they learned their lesson from that.

I hardly watch TV other than hockey these days, but when I do:
Fringe. Pacey is not nearly as annoying as he used to be.
Big Bang Theory. Nerd factor offset by hot next door neighbor. Hilarity ensues.
30 Rock. Whatshisface is by far the best. I look forward to the guy with the hat and big glasses.
Cougartown. Didn't like the pilot. Stronger since then. More poolside scenes please.www.chapeaunoirgolf.com

The four Monday night comedies. Smallville (refuse to stop watching until Clark learns to freaking fly!!!). Love the History Channel and Discovery Channel. Can't wait for LOST to come back. Seriously, it's the most anticipated event in my TV life.
And of course, PPV movies. Recently watched X-men, Terminator and now going to record GI Joe. AND I will be going to see Avatar at some point this Christmas.Donny Vantage NFL Guru, since 1974

I started watching Glee with my wife, and have to admit also that the writing is pretty good. There are times it reminds me of two of my all time favourites: Undeclared and Freaks and Geeks. I know they are not the same, but it certainly has it's funny momments. Sue Sylvester is one of the funnier characters on tv right now (IMO). Very similar to the role played by the same actress when she was in The 40 Year old Virgin.

Awesome show. Breaking Bad, Dexter and The Walking Dead are three that I am fully in to. I tried Mad Men, but ended up losing interest.

Look, you remember Emilio? 'Kay, this dude got Emilio off, like, twice. 'Kay, both times they had him dead to rights, yo, and then poof. Dude's like Houdini. Seriously, when the going gets tough, you don't want a criminal lawyer. Alright, you want a criminal lawyer. You know what I'm saying?
That was Jesse describing the Lawyer Saul to Walt in Breaking Bad. So many good characters and writing.Andrew

been into Breaking Bad since season 1 , also like Hell on Wheels. My favorites from the recent past would be the Sopranos and Oz ( HBO late 90's ).
I also enjoy anything with animals ( Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom : Jim Fowler and Marlin Perkins , watched that show every week with my dad , way , way back ... likely in black and white ! )

I will probably be the only person to admit this, and I'm ok with that, but "Here comes Honey Boo Boo" is train-wreck funny. I can't watch it anymore though as its even too Podunk for me.
I'm a reality junkie and will be interested to see what happens in the fall when the next season starts.Twitter: @Scott_Fally

With all the possibilities on TV now it is so hard to choose.... So I've taken up reading, and in my spare time I go to used book stores.
