"What a Stupid I Am"
A couple of months ago there was a forum member who wanted to become a scratch golfer and, in the discussions, the Bob Rotella books were recommended as possibly being helpful. Having 4 of the books and believing that the content was quite meaningless I offered to send him the books, $130 or so in value, for the cost of the postage. ($12) After having been promised that the money would be sent to me, I mailed the books. As of today, 2.5 months later, and after reminders sent thorough PM's, nothing has been received. I get the message and yes, Roberto Di Vincenzo was right when he said, "What a Stupid I Am."

That's just not right....you went way above and beyond in offering the books for free and then the individual in question refuses to pay for the postage?!?
I don't think that you are a stupid but I do think that someone else is quite pathetic.
Good on you for calling the guy out without naming him, Class Act by you.
BTW - Love Tiger quote.

Why wouldn't you call this guy out though? Save the rest of us from ever dealing with him.

I've been messed with a couples time dealing online with people, and actually people you think you can trust. But there are people out there that do like to take advantage of kindness sometimes. I never send anything without making sure I have the money in my hand or account now a days.
Having been in that situation before i would have no problem today naming names for someone who ripped me off( after constant attempts to resolve in private first) because I would not want others to be put in the same position as i was.

It's ok to discuss the situation here, but please use the iTrader feedback for "naming names".

You, Lyle, have honour. Unfortunately, this other individual appears to have none. I'd like to hear his explanation, not that I can think of any justification. Rest assured that there are plenty of us out here whom you can trust, and who wouldn't leave you hanging even if all the details of the bargain had not been nailed down.

That's pretty low. Hopefully they will "man" up and send you the cash.

That's not right! Sorry that your good nature got taken advantage of, I don't think that makes you stupid, but unfortunately might make you consider doing a nice thing for somebody in the future. I remember that thread, and maybe he's too busy playing on some sort of tour in Florida to send you the money, because he was going to take a lesson or two, and figured that would get him to scratch.....

Why was the link to the original thread removed? No one posted the actual name and the thread is there for anyone to see with a quick search. Its not like it is a classified document or something..........

wait for him to become a scratch golfer and makes in on the PGA tour, then sue him for damages + interest.
You only get out of something what you put into it
