Just heard and was coming to post. Watching on CNN now, and they are saying serious, but no other details....

All they are saying is that he is being treated for facial lacerations.

Now they are saying he has been released. Not sure what "isn't adding up" as per a previous post. Sounds like a traffic accident with facial lacerations based on the news reports. The police report box for alchohol suspected was not checked, therefor not suspected.

Latest news is he's already out of the hospital and that Windermere Mayor was offering reassuring words on CNN. Not serious injuries, some facial lacerations and that charges pending is mere procedure

When I posted originally, the news release only said "seriously injured", and there was no reference to him being released or facial lacerations. That's what didn't add up (at least to me). This reminds me of when Terrel Owens was rushed to the hospital after his "suicide attempt". Speculation and generalizations feed the fire in instances like this.

The affair story has been gaining steam lately. I actually heard them mention it on team 1200 this morning. The original source apperently was the national inquirer, so I guess grain of salt. Being Tiger, perhaps at 2:30 in the morning he was on his way to the range....

i wish tiger a speedy recovery and hope that his image remains unscathed by this harmless incident. however, since this is the internet, i am entitled to speculate and form lazy opinions without knowing all the facts:

a car accident in your own driveway while you're going less than 30 mph @ 2:30am & your wife has to come save you leads Detective Nokids to the conclusion that Mr. Woods had an epileptic seizure. case closed.

There have been rumors for at least a year that Tiger cheated on his wife. A friend of mine lives in Orlando and pointed me to the website where all of the speculation is...bottom line, it's a trashy, celebrity-gotcha type website, so I don't put a lot of faith in that rumor.

If there was anything to it, it'd be all over print and TV media.

As to the accident...what an odd situation. Obviously he was heading out to practice. He probably dropped his phone or something and was reaching for it and kind of lost where he was.
