Anyone use truswing? It's not useable IMHO. 3 Click works very well. I have a feeling they put truswing in for those who demanded it but it isn't done well. That may be due to it not being finished yet but as it is it's nowhere near as good as trueswing was in Links 2003.

I jumped on today for the first time. It's pretty addictive! It's fun

Just something to watch out for when you play. I missed the cut by a stroke on the 27th. Had the cut beat by 3 strokes at level 24, but went up to level 25, but that adjusted the cut line for me. I didn't have enough time to try to beat the new cut. Sorry guys.

1/29: Not sure why, but it is showing my cut streak is still intact.

I don't think I'll be subscribing (at least until next winter)

• $60 /yr US is a bit steep for what it is at this point.
• Most of the 10 or so courses have been out for years on various platforms. Nothing new and exciting to be worth the cost.
• The "rental" system used in the proshop is not a good idea IMHO. Clubs that cotst a player "thousands of in-game dollars" should last more than 10 rounds or provide the opportunity to win significantly more than their cost, which would put too much empasis on the equipment. Make the equipment add small incremantal gains and let people keep the stuff as long as however many rounds it would last in real life.
• Multiplayer golf games should be turn based.
• Rules of golf are very poorly implemented. This has always a big peeve of mine in computer golf games. This is basic stuff too. At the very least, offer the correct options when dropping. Just think - it could be used as a tool to educate people on the rules. By offering the correct options people would learn what they are. As it is it just adds to the confusion among players who don't study the rules.
• No user created courses will severely limit the player/fan base.

Looks like we can still play St Andrews and the Chinese course? I agree with all your points as well. And I would add that the equipment rental system also kind of makes the swing trainer system moot.

Notwithstanding the obvious deficiencies (especially on the rules) that you've pointed out, Dan, I've joined. It's still an interesting diversion for me. Hopefully, they'll get their act together on the rules issues, though I have my doubts. No doubt many of us have suggested that it be corrected. They've not done so. One advantage of the subscription costs is that it should eliminate the many trolls that seem to frequent the site. It will be refreshing to be rid of their puerile nastiness.

I may sign up next winter. I have enough to do in the summer. I did mention the rules issues to them in a couple of reports, but they never responded (to me) regarding any of the things I reported. Several of the things I mentioned were fixed or tweeked, but I am sure they were common issues that lots of people reported. The rules issues shouldn't be that hard to fix and should be a priority. Would they release a Soccer game that didn't follow the rules of Soccer?
