Which balls to use in the cold?
Hi All,
I noticed last week that I'm about a club shorter now that the cold weather has arrived. Having done some reading on the Interweb about the effects of cold weather on golf balls I'm thinking of switching to something w/ a much lower compression than the NXT Tour that I'm playing now.
Has anyone else switched to a lower compression ball (and if so what did you switch to)?
Thanks,
Latch

Lower compression will help with the feel but the cold air will also reduce the distance.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

I think I'm going to give the Wilson Zip a try over the weekend.
They're on sale for $17 at GT:

Try the Srixon AD333 or the Soft Feel both softer and if you are a Bridgestone fan the Treosoft is very nice for this time of year

I've played the Zip balls a fair bit this year and really like them (including in colder weather). The cover isn't anywhere near as soft as a ProV but they fly nice and feel good on the green. And, at $17 a dozen, you really can't go wrong.
