ReGripping
OK here we go----remember I'm Scottish. GT and Golfworks---14 sticks @13.50 ea plus taxes I don't think so (GolfPride)
Just been checking around on how to do this myself at home------looks like a piece of cake---really I have everything without even buying a thing except the grips.
Any preferences?---I really like the air process --no muss no fussDoes the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

Unless you are changing grips a lot the compressor way adds a lot of expense, unless of course you already have a compressor.
I usually check out the closeout/on sale bin at Golfworks and buy a couple seasons worth. I'm a tape and solvent guy myself. Guaranteed that they never slip. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

The last time I was at GW (earlier this summer) they had $1 a grip installation fee. Is this not the case anymore?

Yep that's still right but they wanted 3.00 more than GT for the same item I'm sorry fellas but 227.00 for regripping. I'm just comparing etc.
Even if you buy only the grips and then purchase the kit---it still works out to the same price as having them do it I did some checking---yes you can purrchase grips cheaper and the "grip solvent" is Varsol and the "grip tape" is ordinary carpet tape.
I checked on the "air method" and it's foolproof---providing you have the right sized grip. If your afraid of the grip slipping on the shaft---simply apply a wrap of masking tape.
My regripping just went from 227.00 to 112.00 for about an hours labour Good God---I could never make that while I was working
DIY never looked so good
Thanks guysDoes the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

I was ranting about that a little while ago until I looked at the big picture: When I added up what GT was charging for grips and installation, it was pretty much exactly the same as GW's price - just distributed a little differently.
Definitely advantages to be had for the DIY'er in that situation.
Cheers!

Did mine last February at GT, they seem to have a half price event once a year and I spent about $120 to do all my clubs. Was quite pleased.

I know this may be out of the way if you don't know where Calabogie is, but if you're ever in Calabogie, I get mine done at Mulligans Den Indoor Golf Centre for the cost of the grip plus labour If you're in Renfrew or Arnprior, it sure beats a long drive/trip to Ottawa, and yes, the air route is the way to go after many years of pushing really hard (great big smile right here).
