    Question US Open Picks?

    dbleber:
Well lets have everyones picks for the US Open. According to the pros after the practice round, it's going to be a hard one to win.

My pick: Sergio Gracia - has't won a major( seems to be a benefit lately)
    - playing great

    What's your call?
    Denny

I've gotta go with Ernie first because he can keep it straighter than most. Sergio is second and I'll take Vijay lastly. For a dark horse i'll take David Duval to finish in the top 30.

    Darkhorse?

How about Harrington? He is generally very accurate off the tee, and is playing well lately. I like his chances.

Tough to pick in such a varied season. None of the traditional powerhouses have been winning as much as I expected them to...

    1 - Choi
    2 - Mickelson
    3 - Verplank
    4 - Garcia
    5 - Els

Surprise finish - Alex Cejka in top 10 (Gotta go for the Czech guys... Even ex-patriated ones...)

With a course like Shinne, I think you'd have to go with a few grinders like Verplank, Appleby, Kelly . Dark Horse Europeans would be Harrington, Clarke(although he's missed 5 cuts on the PGA tour this year). It would also be cool to see someone like Jay Haas or Triplett do well this weekend.
