What will the Sens top 3 O-lines be?
Let's take a stab at what Clousten will throw out as his top 3 forward lines??

I'll bite............
1st Line
Kovalev, Spezza, Michalek
2nd Line
Alfie, Fisher, Cheechoo
3rd Line
Neil, Kelly, Foligno
4th Line
Shannon, Winchester, Ruutu
Extras
Donovan, Schubert, Zack Smith, Jim O'Brien
They probably can't/won't keep Smith and O'Brien up, but I know that they really want to........look for Ottawa to make one more move trying to package a couple of our lesser players (Schubert, Shannon, possibly Kelly) for a 4-5 hole defenseman with size

Aside from on the PP, I'd never put Kovalev and Spezza on the same line. Too much danglin'.
I could see this.
Cheechoo would have no shot to rediscover his scoring touch.
Meh. Servicable. Shannon deserves better.www.chapeaunoirgolf.com

Line 1 Michalek, Spezza, Cheechoo
Line 2 Alfie, Fisher, Kovalev
Line 3 Foligno, Winchester, Shannon
Line 4 Neil , Bass, Donovan
I figure lines 1 and 2 are interchangeable but the PP would be fantastic as well as the PK. I also agree that Shannon should get a crack at the first line if Cheechoo cannot put the puck in the net. It seems we have a shortage of R-wingersLast edited by leftylucas; 09-15-2009 at 09:36 AM.

After the way Foligno finished last year I would have him up there before Shannon.

I really hope the young guns get a fair shake to get to the first line. I agree with you, how about
Foligno LW Spez C and Shanny RW
Alfie LW Fisher C Kovalev RW
Michalek (LW) Cheechoo (C, he has played centre before) Donovan RW
or
Michalek/Spez/Cheechoo
Alfie/Fisher/Kovalev
Foligno/Winchester-Kelly/Shannon
Neil/Bass/Donovan
That is a pretty darn good 4 lines to roll out, if you look at a possible playoff scenario then these 4 could be very productive. From the second line out there is convincing effort levels and hopefully it can influence Spez and Kovy to turn up the repsonsibility side of thingsLefty Lucas

I would not want to be on the ice with that 4th line, you better get the ice packs out if you play against that line.
