As HNDC chair, the gentleman's course handicap is 18 and when ESC is applied, his "max" is, in fact, 2 over par.

As an aside, I still find it a little mind boggling that some golfers actually think that after they have reached their "max" for an individual hole, that they can automatically pick up. ESC is applied when the round is over, when entering an adjusted score, not during the round. Guess that they have never heard of 3-2.

Plus, this player has made amazing strides in improving his overall game.

You seem to have taken exception to my comments. I'm not sure why. I was merely pointing out a common mistake many people (including myself) have made when dealing with ESC. Neither am I sure why you found the word "max" so irritating.

me too.. weird eh? i shot a 108 sunday evening.. worst round in more than a dozen or so.. worst part was i felt i shot even worse than that.. i was lucky that all the balls i topped still managed to squeak out 100 yards or so..
