    Zero Restriction

So with the bad weather and the cold comming in the near future i have been thinking about what i will be able to wear that will protect me from the elements late in the season. Being a big guy, 6'3" 245 i always find my jackets restricting in some ways and i always find myself thinking about it when i swing.

Was in Golftown the other day and they had the Zero Restriction jackets on sale and tried decided to try one on, WOW for the first time it felt like i was not wearing anything at all. No pulls or tugs when trying to swing a club it was great.

So now i am thinking about picking one up but they are pretty pricey. Wondering if anyone on here has any experience with these jackets?

Funy, you would think that they'd realize that I high price makes their clothes VERY Restrictive

You might have to wait for the Boxing Day sales. Either that or find out what golf clubs actually sell their jackets. I find the clubhouses really try and get rid of their inventory in the month of September. I bought a Sunice gortex rain jacket last September, 60% off at Cedarhill.

chris, check out ebay. lots of them on there, though not exactly sure what size or model you are looking for. This one is Goretex for $140

Zero Restriction is by far the best raingear when it comes to being able to swing freely. Well worth the money!

Hey Jeff, yep i have been looking at these the issue is they dont carry this model at GT so i'm not sure how it fits, i'm sure its fine but since i have had so much trouble finding a jacket i like to play in i'm not sure i want to take the gamble with out trying it first.

Funny i have no problem doing that with a golf club tho!

I snagged a sunice tornado jacket in XXL on sale at GT on Friday in a panic in preperation for the OG/TGN Ryder Cup. It was perfect over the weekend. I was dry & confortable despite the heavy rains. I had goretex pants, the jacket, the rain golves, waterproof shoes, and to top it off a ridiculous Mossy Oak Camo gore tex hat which I snatched at the Belleville hunting and fishing store.

As he nearly bowled Will and I over to get it. Which he did not need to do as Will and I are just not tall enough to reach the top of the mannequin

Zero Restriction is definitely top notch.

The SunIce gear is probably next in line when it comes to wearability. If you go the SunIce route the classifications are:

Typhoon: OK in light rain or a short down pour.
Tornado: Good for prolonged heavy rain.
Hurricane: You get to help Noah load the ark
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

got the hurricane jacket and pants and they are great. IMHO, the nicest looking rain gear on the market.

Yeah i know they are pricey, but i should have them for a long time! I hope!

Jeff i tried on the SunIce stuff and although i think they look great i still feel restriced in them, although they didnt have any of the hurricane in my size. That is they one thing about the ZR's, not the most stylish jackets but i guess during a major rain storm the last thing i am woried about is what i look like.

I have both the pants and the jacket. The pants were bought last year and I have had the jacket for at least 5 yrs. It is by far the best rain gear out there. If ur gonna do it do it right, it makes playing in the wind/rain/cold that much easier.

True, but if you wanna be stylin' and profilin' then there is only SunIce.

I am sure Sak realised that you could hop on Will's shoulders to get the hat hence his mad panic to get it.

I don't know what has happened to my Hurricane pullover. I played in the torrent on Saturday at Le Maitre and was soaked to the bone by the 14th.

I figured it out... I have a Hurricane 'windstopper'... which isn't the highest grade of the Hurricane lineup, there is one above it - which is Gortex.

I went to the Blackwater factory outlet store in Foymount Ontario last year and bought a pair of gore tex water proof pants for $10 (granted, I think full retail was close to $90) They roll up into a ball the size of a tall boy. While I agree that the jacket needs to be golf specific, the pants imo don't.
