    P3Pro Golf Simulator

I was wondering if any has any experience with this?
It looks pretty good for $550 and also measures you angle of approach.

Have you seen or tried it yet?

I hit balls all winter in my garage. At the beginning of the season, I tend to hook cause I probably hit hooks all winter long without knowing it. This low cost simulator seems to be the answer.

Straight Ball Golf on Morrison Drive in Ottawa is a supplyer. I am looking in to it and hopefully purchassing one in the near futur.

mberube or anyone else - Did you end up buying the P3Pro? Or did you end up finding one locally to try out? I've been contemplating it as an investment for next winter and would love to get some first-hand feedback and/or try it before buying.

Didn’t try it yet but will cause I plan to build a simulator in the near future.

I will post the results when I try it out.

Please keep us posted if you try it before I do.

    Thanks

I too am thinking of building a simulator... probably next winter... and am excited by the prospects.

I hadn't looked at their site in a while and see that they are now working on a $79 connector that will allow it to be used with EASports Tiger Woods. That should be a sweet addition... and allow you to play all of the courses that they publish.

What do you figure is the required ceiling height to safely swing a driver? I'm guessing 9.5 or 10 feet... based on my scraping attempts in our 9 foot high living room

I'll keep you posted on any progress that I make...

The info I got on needed space is 9 feet by 16 by 16. This may vary depending on your height.

Based on my practice swings in our 9ft living room, 9ft is not quite enough... but it would depend on your height (I'm 6'), the length of your driver shaft, and how upright your stance is.

Doing some daydreaming about it today, I found a few good reviews, if you haven't seen them already...

Overall pretty positive reviews - except for the lube and reflective tape... that are not at all evident on their website.

In one of the threads, someone mentions that the price will go up to U$700+ once the interface to EASports Tiger Woods is integrated into the package.

I'm actually starting to look forward to next winter

WOW!!! Amazing posts. I really appreciate it. I am even more convinced now. I will definitely buy one before next winter. Actually, as soon as my wife come off maternity leave in September.

    Lets keep in touch.

    Thanks

Not a problem. Another thing for you to try... one of the posters mentioned downloading the P3Pro software to try it out before you buy... which I did at http://www.p3proswing.com/customer/softwareUpdates.php (note that the password for extracting the dowload is "p3pro"). This lets you confirm that your graphics card will provide full motion graphics... and lets you look at the interface.

My wife is on maternity leave as well... until May... but I also need to wait for our new house (with 9ft+ basement ceilings) to be built... should be done in December. Then I'm good to go!

    I will keep in touch.

Well instead of spending $550, you could just go outside...

Don’t know about you but I find it difficult to hit balls in three feet of snow in mid January.
