Does that course have anyone who cleans out the carts after they come in from the course? The course I work at does, and if we find items like that we have a lost and found. Many times I have taken someones glasses etc up to the Grill Room when left in carts.
I assume you called the course?
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

Did you contact SkyGolf to tell them. I think they will put it on a list of lost/stolen devices and if the device attempts to connect with the skygolf website, it will be deactivated.
Maybe by that time the person will return it to you...
That sucks! If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.

This might seem a little silly (no pun here Silly) but shouldn't the SkyGolf people be able to tell you where it is located when it is turned on?
There should be a way for tracking these things, wouldn't you think since the system knows which course hole you are on, etc?
This is of course, if the person who found it does not turn it in.
You better call the course and go speak to their staff as well, sometimes the person answering the phone is a kid who couldn't care less.
Good luck.

You can install software on your GPS enabled cell phone that will locate your unit on a web server if the GPS is on. Not sure if that kind of software is installed on the Skycaddy or not.
Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

The only reason a cell phone with GPS can be found is because it can use the data package on the phone to transmit its position but a garmin, sky caddie and other such devices are only one way GPS. They only receive info from the sats, they don't transmit. There is no way they knew where the unit is
