Best Voice for a Documentary?
Love watching them on Discovery and Oasis etc.
Morgan Freeman of course is the king at this moment. Leslie Nielson has a great voice for them too but everytime he talks all I hear is "Nice beaver".
Let's say you were making a golf documentary, who would you choose for your narrator?Donny Vantage NFL Guru, since 1974

Two names come to mind immediately. The first is well known to everyone: James Earl Jones. The second is not so well known: David McCullough. McCullough is an American narrator, writer and lecturer. You may remember him as the narrator of Ken Burns' PBS series on The Civil War. He also narrated, among many others, Seabiscuit and The American Experience.
Without intending to hijack this thread, there is only one person whom I'd want making my documentary: Ken Burns. The Civil War and Baseball (all on PBS) are but a few of his accomplishments.

For golf, I know he's an announcer and not a narrator, but Peter Alliss.

Angela Lansbury, female category, to complement Richard Burton.
She has a great musical voice too.

Alice Cooper. (not joking)
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

If it were a golf documentary then definately Peter Alliss, he is the voice of golf for me. Otherwise David Attenborough of Patrick Stewart are both good picks.
