Shimming down a .350 to a .335 tip
Not sure this can be done but is there a tool that can shave the tip uniformly from a .350 to a .335 and if so will it affect the properties of the shaft?

It is possible but not recommended because there is very little metal in the hosel of the driver.
Just curious, why not just get a .335 shaft? Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

Hosel wall is too thin for reaming. Wood hosels are not like irons. I do not have the reaming bit nor would I attempt it. It could work but too iffy.

It CAN be done, but I would not recommend it. I know a couple of VERY GOOD clubmakers who have sanded down several .350 tip shafts to fit into .335 hosels. They do it by hand with very fine grit sandpaper and VERY carefully. However even they don't recommend it, it's always been done either just for themselves or for friends who were too cheap to get a different shaft.

I've done it once or twice but ditto on the advice.
But like you said; At your own risk and peril.
Last night I reamed an old driver head from .335 to .370. Investing in reaming bits may not be a good choice though. Someone on another forum suggested using fazz fit as you can buy the right connectorLive as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

Tip Shaving
For people as anal as these guys there really overexagerating the fact that it SHOULD NOT be done. I did it and theres absolutely no property changes to the shaft what so ever. When you pay $300 for your golf shafts it isnt being cheap its being innovative. If your paying this kind of money for a Voodoo or Diamana shaft you should be able to do w.e u want with it and have no property change. I've done it to both of those shafts in both of my drivers and theres has been ABSOLUTELY no propertyy change or loss of performance in the shaft.

Wow! I'd imagine that this would almost completely change the dynamics of said shaft!
I've gone the other way (.335-.350) but I'd never do it the reverse ..

Now I suspect that this type of connector would add some length to the tip, how would it affect the stiffness?
