Putter lie angle
What is the correct way to fit a person for a putter's lie angle?
How much of a difference does a degree or two of lie angle make in a putter?
My understanding is that if your putter is too upright (i.e. toe up at address), you may tend to pull your putts left (for a right handed golfer).

But what is the actual fitting process? How does one tell what the proper lie angle of a putter should be? How would I know, for example, if I should be 2° flat or 2° upright? I know for irons you put impact tape on the sole and hit off a hitting board, but how are putters fit?

If you grab your putter in the usual position and the toe is up then you need to have it flattened. The opposite if the heel is off the ground.
I choke down on mine so that the putter lays flat.
