easy question
From the fairway, if I hit a ball out of bounds do I have to return to the spot that I hit the ball from and hit again? Or do I have the choice of dropping it from point of entry? And, what is the sroke penalty?

If a ball is out of bounds, the player must play a ball, under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played.

you have to rehit from the spot you last played
so if your ball is in the fairway at 200 to the green and you hit it out of bounds from there, you have to drop a ball and play your forth shot from the same 200 yrs to the green.

No.
It makes no difference whether you hit the ball from the teeing ground or the fairway.
If your ball is out of bounds, you must return to where you hit it from.

let me get this s8...
Ok, this may seem like I'm repeating what was just said, but just so if I understand correctly...
If you go out of bounds from any location, you must return to the original spot and rehit and it costs you one penalty stroke.

I love it when Steve and Gary secretly agree. Get thee into a cone of silence!

Well, you both say no, and explain it. If the conversation were truly in sequence... Posts were made simultaneously ... oh well it was amusing when I read it the first time

5) GO: why is this said several times...
There was a mis-communication at 3 & 4, NOT that you were wrong, but GO implied something he didnt mean to, and you both responded accordingly. I meant confused as in the MESSAGE is being confused.
I have flow charts.

Confusion
Could I ask the keeper of the flow chart if he works for one of the political parties. Turning the clear answers given by Steve and Gary into a confusing mess requiring a flow chart befits the kind of clarity of thought that some politicians or, at least, their advisors have demonstrated in the last little while.

I'm really counting on having "argue with broken27" in small print somewhere in there.
That's hilarious!

Deepwoods if you put the same kind of effort into your game as you do in your flowchartting I assume you are at the pro level?
