Hello everybody. I just wanted to say that I am very pleased to be a part of this golf forum. My name is Bert and I am a 31 year old from Syracuse, located in Central New York.

I have to thank my father for turning me on to golf at a very early age. He cut me down a set when I was 8 years old. As I progressed through high school, I was on and off with golf. This was a stupid decision on my part because the one year that I joined the high school golf team, I qualified for the Sectional Championships. The following year, I was too involved with partying with friends that I decided not to join.

I just started getting back into golf after graduating college and have shaped my game back down to a 4 handicap. I still have visions and dreams of becoming good enough to make a living at golf, as I am sure that most of us do.

I am so glad to have found this forum so I can talk about my passion about the game. Thank you all for listening.

Welcome. It wouldn't surprise me if you played with some of these golfers. A number will eventually plan a golf trip (usually in the early spring or late fall when the Ottawa courses are closed) to Syracuse.
