You never know, he still might make it... not probably, but cut is currently +2, and the wind is blowing, and there is still lots of golf left. Tiger moved up 25 places already and he hasn't teed off yet.

Ouch Mikey man, you usually save that kind of score for round 4.
In other news Tiger just had a meltdown on the 9th, that tee-box took a bit of punishment, as did his bag...

Not to be a pain, but people who are taping a sports event and don't want to find out the score should stay away from golf websites instead of expecting everyone else to follow their imaginary spoiler rules.

Maybe Tiger can join Mike on the flight back. I hear they'll be jetting with WCS (Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda) Airlines.

lol so true. IMO I would only ever tape the final round of a tournament. And as apex pointed out, I would stay away from this forum!

I cant follow weir anymore, I gave up on him along time ago. He is not clutch at all, hes a lefty , and he chokes ALMOST as much as Garcia does. Those 2 should be on the C Flight - Choke!

yes but he is never in contention during the final round, sure he does well the first 2 rounds....but then he falls off and never comes close. the odd time he will finish in the top 5 but without checking, he rarely places top 10...no?

Fair enough LOL! It wasn't so much a comment on you Steve, but you'd be surprised how many fights there are about this type of thing on other golf boards
On GEA and FGI for example they have actually put in spoiler rules due to so many people complaining that people posting results was ruining their enjoyment of taping tournamentsThe opinions expressed in this post are mine and may not necessarily reflect the opinions of others on OG.

I can understand why those big names are coming home. Patience, lack of it. For instance, Tom Watson, 59 years old and still strikes the ball solidly.
At one point today he was back to -2, yet he finished at -5. Patience, Tom has played and won enough Open Championships to know what it takes. He knows not to force the issue and take what the course gives you. He knows how to hit different shots that are required to score well on those courses and under those conditions.
Of course the young guns should know that too. But home many times have you seen them hit driver into the rough and make a bogie, when a 3 wood in the fairway and a solid par would do? Too many times. I was rather surprised that Ben Curtis shot 80 today as he is usually a fairly patient player. He does not try to bomb it 300 yards off the tee. He plods around a course.
With winds blowing at 20 MPH someone does not have to be off much and their score goes up.
I think it might be an interesting weekend at Turnberry
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.
