Single Digit Handicappers: How often do you go to the range?

I am a 5 capper and only hit the range when there is a problem. Nearly all my lost shots are 50 yards in, and lately have been in the 5-10 foot donut. I have spent 20 hours on the putting green in the last two weeks. Can't seem to make a putt in that range(except on the putting green).
Today played 18 holes. I missed three putts in the donut, had one goof(shank) and shot 3 over. Hit 10/14 fairways and hit 11/18 greens. The only pars on the missed greens were putts of under 2 feet. What good would hitting tons of balls on the range do?

Play 30+ rounds per year and I never go to the range to practice. Sometimes I hit 10-15 balls before a round but that's just to warm-up and stretch the muscles.

I don't take golf seriously enough to practice. I know that with some practice I good take 3-4 shots easily off my putting stats, and maybe more...

Usually play 2-3 times a week. Practice on the range before I play .... not much else. I don't have the time for extended range sessions ... I need to set-up a net in my backyard - then I'll have less grass to cut (over half an acre right now - takes me 1.5hrs to do it !?!?)
