From your responses, I get the impression you would find soccer a bore as well.

    Stick to watching basketball.

Actually, soccer is my favourite sport to watch. My problem with today's hockey is the senseless physicality of it all. It accomplishes nothing other than slowing down the pace of the game, removing the scoring chances, and hurting people.

Basketball ranks among my most-hated television viewing. I don't really consider it a sport, as the objective of the game is too easily accomplished (scoring). Maybe if they raised the baskets up higher so that guys like Shaq and Kobe couldn't just reach up and place the ball in.... Nah, still boring.

Some sports too fast, some too slow.
Some sports score to much, some too little.
Some sports have violence, some have not enough.

Seems to me there is no rhyme or reason. To each his own.

The first part is generally true of all fan allegiances, while the second part I totally agree with...

Nice game by Tampa tonight. Flames were flat for most of the game, but Tampa really dictated the pace. Was still not top-notch hockey in my books, but at least the 22,000+ fans in TBay plus the full house at Pengrowth Saddledome made it a fun experience to watch.

Those PEI people must be livin it up tonight! Brad Richards was excellent.
    Cheers,
    Dan

Just to make you happy Deep Woods, I've brought back the old avatar. Sadly my game has dropped considerable since I last found some "green".

Which is always the case...green is a good alternative when the round goes bad, but a bad alternative for a good round.
