Well Tom didn't win, but I don't think this will be forgotten. He was remarkable.

It is a shame that Stuart's win ended up being kinda sad. I am sure his name on the jug will help with that though

All in all, a really enjoyable match to watch. In this case, I think especially without Tiger taking the limelight.

I thought it was amazing and Watson really got a bad bounce on the 18th to roll to the back like that, this could have been one for the ages.

not sure it was a bad bounce, that was the way all the balls were going. I do think he should have erred more on the side of caution and left it short though I realize it is a tough shot and much harder to gauge downwind on a course like that. Who knows, if the ball lands a few yards shorter, it rolls up to the back but not off the green and he is the champion.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

I think he was playing it to be short, he hit 8 iron form 180yds and that first bounce was attricious

I think it would be really hard to convince yourself to hit 9 iron from 187... even if it was downwind, and you were trying to land it short.

This Frank Deford article talks about exactly that...
