Question Pineview slope and rating in the database incorrect?

    Ok,

According the Pineview's web site(2008 scorecard) the slope and ratings are as follows:

    Blue 124/70.9
    White 117/69.7
    Red 111/68.3

But in the handicapping database it is:
    Blue 122/71.4
    White 122/70.3
    Red 118/67.3

    2 questions:

    1) Why the discrepency? Which it sorrect?
    2) Can a course really have the same slope from two tee boxes?

    Thanks.

    Question

We play at Pleasant Valley G&CC and we use Reservation Masters for tee times and handicaps. We also have to enter scores manually as none of the info about slope and rating seems to be correct. We also play 3 other courses regularly and their info in the data base is also wrong. Maybe the info from the RCGA is garbled.

That does not seem to be the case for most courses. I think it's more of a delay in updates than an error in the database.

No guarantee the scorecard is more currennt. I have seen lots of cases where old cards are used up before new ones are printed. Best to ask in the proshop to be sure.

Tee-on.com is a program widely used in our area and they seem to have most of the info correct in their data base. Very handy for booking tee times and for keeping a handicap.
