    Don Trahan/Upright Swing

Did anybody catch Monday's episode on Golf Academy Live in with Don Trahan spoke of the upright swing model? If so, any thoughts or comments?

I have had good success by shortening my backswing (mind you, i am old and inflexible) so found this interesting.

    Cheers

    Ty

I did catch that and the wife and I were laughing. Mostly cause I am always telling her to swing no more than 3/4 (she has a hard time getting to 1/2 swing right now)..which is how I hit most the time. The idea seems to be great...everything along the same line and little leg movement to throw you off balance. The other thought I liked was a narrow stance. I have tried several widths and I feel most comfortable with about 6" betwen each foot for wedges and not quite shoulder width apart for the driver with the ball teed up just ahead of center. I am a short hitter (about 220 with the driver) but friends say I swing effortlessly and I keep them straight and consistent.
