Single Digits
Good 'ole Sak made it into the single digits over the weekend. Back to back 80s (one of which ESC-ed down to 79) were good enough to get the index down to 9.6
I think I had it at 9.9 for about 2 days in 2007. Anyhow, part one of a goal accomplished. Now to keep it there, or possibly lower it some more.Andrew

I can't really figure it out, I must have bounced a couple of the higher rounds that were counting I guess. I'm gonna milk it for all I can as long as it stands. Keep an eye out for upcoming posts on the Ottawa Golf Forum starting with "as a single digit capper, I believe..."

I've been stuck at 17 for so long... it kinda reminded me of my social life in High School..
Congrats to the single digit accomplishment BTW

As someone who enjoys taking your money, this news pleases me... Not that I have been real generous with the old strokes over the years.

Followed up with a sweet 37 (with a double on the 2nd hole) in men's night last night! I'm on fire! Hoolio, we should play soon.

really bad 88 this morning, and just like that back to 10.0.
So it lasted 15 glorious days. I have a good feeling that I can get it back down much more easily now.
Sigh. Now I can only offer my opinion "as a former single digit cap"Andrew

You've noticed I've been keeping this thread alive...
Really, this is the sort of thing for a blog, but I had to share the triumph and the tragedy with all a y'all.
One thing I noticed was how few strokes I was getting from golfers whom I had historically thought of as way out of my league. (cough PalmerisKing cough)Andrew

Funny thing that, I'm about a 12, and my buddy who I play with regularly is a solid 6, the difference between our scores is usually the results of one or two strokes in any given round. One bad stroke for me will often result in a quadruple bogey or worse, which is often followed by a double or bogey, whereas when HE makes one bad swing, it is often simply limited to ONE bad swing...reducing the size of your mistakes, that's the way to shrink a cap...
