HELP. Are my iron heads coming off the shaft? What's happening?

    http://www.todaysgolfer.co.uk/upload...-bh-5-iron.jpg

here are my irons....the clubhead is moving away from the "black piece" of the shaft, and now there are gaps as big as 5mm. It's noticeable to the eye, but not for play. It seems the longer-mid irons have more separation. So, has anyone ever seen this before, is it common? Also, will my clubheads be flying off the club pretty soon, and should I get it fixed? (I've been playing with them for over 3 years, and so far they've stayed in one piece, but there's movement!) Thanks

A similar thing happened with a set that I got.. The guy upgraded the shafts but he did a poor job on the heads. He claimed that a pro did the job but clearly the set was falling apart within weeks of me using them

I had them fixed with one of the guys here at the forum which is not a big deal.

it is much more likely that the black piece (ferrule) has come loose, not the clubhead. Some of mine are a bit loose, but its not a problem. You can just slide them back into place. I'm sure someone on here could tell you the right kind of glue to use to keep them in place.

Hold one end of the club with one hand and try to twist the head off with the other. If it does not budge then you are a victim of ferrule creep. And you do not have to worry about them flying off. If it's only the ferrule lightly sand the shaft above the hosel. Use Lepage 5 minute epoxy and you will be done. You might have to put them in boiling water if the ferrules do not slide easily. This will soften them up a bit and will allow sliding them back easily into their original position. I can do it for you in exchange for a sleeve of balls. You might also want to check this out:
