    Capital

    Hi all,

Have played about 10-15 times in my life but am now getting serious. Wife is interested, too, but can get a little hot when playing sports and things don't go her way - so I ask you, what is the story on the Capital? Is it a decent course for rookies and to tune up the short game, or is it pretty much garbage? Thinking this would be a good place to go with her.

Welcome to the forum Hardcore... careful, golf can be addictive

I have never bee to Capital but I find a great place to tune up your game that is never busy is the Short course at Riverbend. It has mostly par 3's and a few short par 4's. While I am on vacation I plan on playing there just to get my shrt game into shape by playing a couple of balls on each hole.

Good luck with your 'Hot Wife'... sorry, couldn't resist

I live down the road from it and I'm not a big fan. I prefer Raceview as a practice course, and they have a nice driving range and short-game practice area too. I would rate the executive course at Pineview better as well.
