Golf Trip - Geant, Diable and Heritage

Heading down with the boys for my birthday weekend in June. We're splitting into two threesomes, the low caps and the high caps (which is my group of course), and we play for money.

Do Geant and Diable have GPS in the carts? I have Heritage GPS for intelligolf so not worried there.

Does anyone have a current yardage book for any of these course that I could borrow?

Wouldn't it be great to start a business called www.yardagebook.com, selling downloadable yardage books for courses across north america? LOL I'd be on there now buying three.

IMHO yardage books will go the way of the dodo as GPS use becomes more widespread. Declining sales of the books will mean nobody will make them any more.
Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

As of last year Diable did have GPS, Geant did not. Or at least that is what I remember which could be wrong given my advancing age and alchohol consumption on the trip. I have a Diable yardage book. You can see Geant's online at http://www.tremblant.ca/golf/geant/visit-e.htm . For some reason Diable's online version does not have the yardages

Which weekend in June are you going?

Cool. Myself and dreaded_snowman are going up 10th-13th with a large group that does an annual golf and drink fest. Always a good time!

LOL. We've got a few big drinkers (not me) but Friday night is the 3rd and last night of the trip so endurance becomes an issue. Also, most end up down at "Le Falcon"

I played Diable on the long weekend. They do have GPS carts. The course was in pretty fair condition too.

If you haven't played there before, my advice would be to hit driver on every hole (except Par 3's of course). With their local rule of "lift, clean and place" in the waste bunkers there's really not a huge disadvantage hitting into them.

    Good luck!

As I recall the rules also apply to the greenside bunkers as they too were full of rocks. I'll never understand why a course this beautiful didn't go the extra mile and get screened sand.
