    Wishon 550C and 550M - Discontinued

For those who did not receive the email yesterday, Wishon is discontinuing the 550 line and has all remaining heads on for $19 a piece.

If someone is placing an order, let me know as I may want to jump in and pick up a few spares.

    Hey guys,

I'm going to order some shafts from Wishon so if you're interested in splitting the shipping costs, let me know via PM what you'd like to order and I'll put it all together.

For payment logistics I was thinking you could paypal me the approximate cost of what you want in advance and once they arrive and I figure out the final cost with duty/exchange/etc we can settle up for the difference on delivery.

I'll collect requests until the end of the week.

You need to have an account to get pricing.

Shoot me a PM with what you are interested in and I can give you the pricing.

I was going to ask, is there a way to not have to pay duty. When i order with Wishon, the Fedex invoice (at least the last one) had 7% duty imposed on the converted CAD amount. I'm not sure where or how accurate the conversion from US to CAD is, but I must say, adding 7% duty, and a combined 14% PST/GST makes for a pricey adventure. In my case I bought a bunch of stuff when the CAD dollar was sucking, so it made things even worse.

My last order was a total of $503US converted to CAD was $615. I paid $129 in combined duty/PST/GST, so my original $503 US amounted to $744 CAD.

It's a good thing I love the stuff!!

If fedex does it properly then duty should be:

    heads - 4.5%
    shafts - 0%
clothes - 15% (I won't ever buy one of his hats again)

and then you will pay GST, PST, and a fedex processing fee (if you don't have a fedex account).

For me it is way too expensive considering the resale value is basically 0.

My order is shafts only, so I'll know for sure what the duty is (or isn't) shortly.

Just to update, I received my shafts and there was no duty. Only GST/PST and the Canada Post handling fee.

When I receive an order from the States via Fed Ex, there is a duty fee for the the order. I complained to Fed Ex about this because the Feds told me that there were 3 catogories for charging duty on golf components, all with different rates, heads, shafts and clothing. I spoke with some trouble shooter who looked in to it and received a credit for the overcharging of duty on certain items.

When shipped via U.S ground, it all depends on where it enters Canada, MTL. or T.O. I will see a difference in duty charges. Go figure !

I have ongoing issues because the shipper does not specify " GOLF SHAFTS " on the paperwork, They usually Mark it as GOLF EQUIPMENT and then it gets 7%.

If they are specific it should clear at the proper duty rates.
