Thunderstorms!!!!!!!!!!!
was playing with my dad today down in Cambridge. +1 after 5 holes, hitting the ball as good as I can possibly hit it, 4-4 FIR, 5-5 GIR. One stinking 3 putt on the first hole but everything else was as well as I can hit it. We got lightning called after 3 then went back out, played 2 more, then more lightning. Ended up calling it a day but it was one of those days where I just hit the ball beautifully. Just think about what might have been.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

I will be dreaming tonight. i tell you from a ball striking point of view it was a thing of beauty. Fades, draws, you name it i could do it. It's how I think I have the ability to play most of the time but rarely pull it all together on a consistent basis.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Sucks when you are playing in the zone like that, cup is a bucket etc. and you suddenly run out of holes

Think of it this way, at 5GIR in 5 holes and being +1, you already had 11 putts after 5 holes. If you continued at that pace you were looking at a 40 putt day. Imagine how frustrating would that have been? Good thing the weather rescued you.
Does that help?

2 days ago I was short on time and wanted to get a little golf in. So I went and played holes 1,2 & 9. My course is hardly played so I am able to do this. I played the 3 holes 1 under with a 20-25 foot birdie putt on the 2nd hole. I wonder how it would of panned out for 18 holes...

Today was NOT a good day for golf in the K-W area.
Did you get caught in the downpour?

Yes, I was playing at Galt. Immaculate condition as usual. The greens there are unbelievably nice.

My dad, my wife, a buddy and I were to play Brookfield this morning, but cancelled. Too bad. I hope things are better this weekend in Ottawa.

Played that a few times (lol) when I was a kid (as i grew up on the other side of the conservation area), though I think I watched more people play from the building next door. Yes, I had LOTS of occasions to visit that fine establishment.
I must say it was fun in the winter tubing onto the river.
