    Hybrid vs 5 Wood

What is the ideal replacement for my 3-4 irons?

Also, where does a 5 wood fit in the strategy for you guys/gals who have hybrids? (I have a TM 5 Wood 18 degree V Steel which I like).

    3 & 4 iron replacement

Tom Wishon Golf makes a hybrid that looks like an iron. 585 HI is the model #. The cool thing about it is, the hosel has a .335 bore. Wishon has a specific line of shafts for these heads and do they work ! Another option, wich has proven to be quite sucsessful is to use fairway wood shafts because of the extra weight and lower torque values.

A 7-wood (loft around 21*) usually replaces a 3-iron, while a 9-wood (loft around 24*) usually replaces a 4-iron. With hybrids you usually try to match up with these lofts as well, although fairway woods usually have more carry and slightly longer distances than the corresponding hybrids/irons.

try a #2 hybrid. I use it in between my 4i and 3 wood. fits the bill nice and can be hit off the tee, the deck or the rough.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

I do the same no longer carry a 3-4 iron. or a 5wood for that matter. added a 18(or 17 dependign which set I am using) Hybrid to replace the 5W and a 21 degree hybrid to replace the 3-4 irons (choke down for the 4 iron shots) Improved My ball striking and they are more veristaille...now have 4 wedges...
