Keeping it in nice shape on the shaft? Wrap it in scotch tape.

The Cult of Cameron types get all excited about having their shaftbands in nice shape to help with resale value.

For me, I just like to have my irons look nice so I can see where ratty shaft bands are a negative. That's why I left them off my current irons.

So I can sell you a set of amateur shafts with the wrong bands on them just to satisfy your male ego

Agreed.....Cheap transparent scotch tape. Simple and effective.

Nanoo nanoo! The shaftbands for most of the Camerons are pretty cool looking, I think that's why most people like to keep them looking good. A shaft label has never been a factor in selling or purchasing putters for me.

Like you, John, I prefer to have no bands on the shafts. I'm easily distracted so I don't want my eyes wandering to those bands at address. In fact, I stripped all of the Project X bands (and they are very large) on my new irons. I have done the same with my putters.

I used peanut butter. I know that's sounds nuts (save for Silly Willy), but it works.

I would have never thought of using peanut butter. I remember my sister used it to get bubble gum out of her hair...similar concept. Thanks.

I thought Project X bands were large until I saw the FST Pro 115s. Holy Cow!
