    Steel FW Shaft Recommendation

After another year of poor wood play, I'm thinking about going back to a steel shaft in my 3 wood. I'm looking for something with a softer feel and higher launch than the Dynamic Gold. Anyone have a favourite shaft they can recommend?

    Thanks in advance.

Try the Dynalite Gold. It plays softer in the tip, with a slightly lower flex point.
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

Thanks. That was the best option I could find from scanning the GolfWorks site. I'll likely give it shot.

You could also look to see if they have any Rifles left in stock.

If you're looking for a cheap one, I have a few kicking around in the basement. Not sure exactly what numbers or lengths but I could check.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

Thanks. I haven't seen a Rifle wood shaft in a while ... didn't think I'd have a chance of finding one but I guess you never know unless you ask. I'd be looking for a .335 tip, 5.5 flex, standard bore depth install, 3w length ... just in case you have one kicking around. I'll probably pick up a Dynalite anyway but it's always nice to have options.

    I checked and I have a 5.5 that's 41 3/4" which I'm pretty sure came out of a driver so it would definitely work in a 3W.

    I also have a 4.5 that's about 1/2" shorter.

Thanks. I'm going to try a Dynalite but the 5.5 is definitely worth throwing into the mix. Do you remember if you tipped it? I'm asssuming that I'll need to take another 1/2" or so off the tip if it came out of a driver.

Nippon 950FW is one to try...Rifles are still listed on the site below.

I'm pretty sure I did not tip it. I don't have a raw one to compare it too though.
