Bethpage road trip
Anyone for a Bethpage Black road trip in late April or mid-May timeframe?
Would be leaving Friday early AM, play a round on Friday PM if possible, one round on Saturday, a last one early Sunday AM and then drive back.
Let me know

Old news man! I asked the same question a while back.

Depending on the work schedule I would be interested. Tee times are reduced this year so it might be tougher to get on.Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

Oops!!! Sorry about that. Based on that info, let's rethink this... Where else could we go? Malone? Tree Tops in Michigan (location of Big Break I)? PEI? Cape Breton?

No need to apologize. I'm still game for Bethpage if the schedule works out.

Same here but I thought we could open this up to other options due to the restrictions on tee-times at Bethpage
BTW - Tree tops is 1000 kms away by crossing the border at Sault-Ste-Marie. About 10-11 hrs away. 4 18-hole champ courses. $326 US for 2 nights stay, 4 rounds of golf, 2 breakfasts. Mid-May

Malone is another option which is much closer.

If you're willing to go to Bethpage, what's another 3 hours to Tree Tops?
But I would consider Malone for sure: approx $250 (CDN $ at par)

Crap... didn't realize that... it's the best weekend for me seeing my wife will be out of town. Maybe we can find another weekend AFTER the us open - they will reopen for public play on the 27th of June with restrictions on play lifted.
That being said, I'm still willing to go on the May8-10 weekend

I may be able to pull this off. But it wouldn't be until late in the year. GF just got back from a week in FLA on Wed, and now she's planning another getaway to London, ENG in Sept to see a Michael Jackson concert. I'm definitely owed something after this.....

You may want to re-think the black for the weekend, I am pretty sure if you head down on a friday you won't get on it on Sat, maybe sunday but I think that will be iffy. I have played it 4 times truley awesome but you have to go through the week. I am going back the 25th hoping to get on it on the 27th, TIM

Alright - the US Open is over, Bethpage Black reopens on June 27th for public play, it's time to start thinking about this again...
jvincent, Bouche, BigJohnny, others: who's interested in going?
For me, the following weekends are available:
- July 11-12
- July 25-26
- Aug 1-2-3
- Aug 8-9

I know someone who is planning on heading down next week. Let's see what he says about the crowds.
Anyway you slice it though, weekends are going to be tough to get on. You might actually be looking at getting there in the AM for the next day.Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!
