Hardwood Flooring
Can anyone recommend a place for hardwood flooring and installation?

I don't have a recommendation for an installer, but I would suggest the following:
1. Get prefinished. It is more durable, and the install is much simpler.
2. If you are thinking of a darker floor, try to go for a solid wood vs a stained floor. When (not if) it gets a ding it doesn't show up as much. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

We used MR Hardwood and we were very pleased.. by the quality and cost
Some people are like Slinkies... they're really good for nothing, ... but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs...

Would home depot be the best spot to buy hardwood if you are putting it in yourself or somewhere else?

Would I be best to purchase at Home Depot or Rona and then have a contractor install or purchase at a reputable flooring location?

Try calling Rome Flooring. They are installing 320sq ft for my mother for 2000. Depending on the type of hardwood, costs may vary. Is it a big job you are doing? It really is not that hard to do yourself. I did my living room and dining room myself. Took 2 days.

The home depot installation services are pretty good also , it might worth getting a quote from them . I didn't get a floor , but got them to do my roof , i was very happy with the results.
At the end of the day ... It gets dark
