    Grip Solvent?

I have never regripped my own clubs but I have now decided that I am going to give it a try. I was just wondering if you could use acetone for grip solvent or should i just buy grip solvent? Thanks for any info

    Acetone? I wouldn't...
I use Brampton's generally, but when out I've just used 99 cent a litre Canadian Tire solvent. Any solvent would do but I would not use acetone.

I would suggest camp fuel, it's probably one of the cleanest ways and not too stinky...if you don't mind stinky then you could go old school with gas.
    OR
if you want to avoid stink but spend a little more then get yourself some soap tape and then it's just a matter of soap and water!

Drop me a PM if you have any questions and I'll gladly walk you through it.

You should avoid working with acetone. If not used properly, it can cause you harm and, in extreme cases, death. There are safer solvents to use. Whatever you do, make sure that the room you're working in is well ventilated.

Agreed. I have re-gripped more clubs than I can count and that has always been the way to go. I'd recommend some type of rubber or latex glove though, you don't really want to get it on your skin if you can avoid it.

    Grip solvent

Just buy the grip solvent. Its no odor, can be reused (Catch the excess in a paint tray)and it is definately the least messy.
It is also formulated to work with frip tape.
    It is inexpensive as well
