turning a 33" putter into a belly putter

can this be done? just bought a 33" sabertooth from hacker and i'm going to covert it into a 44" belly putter.

I was told its as easy as removing the grip, putting 2x5inch extensions into the shaft and regripping with a belly putter shaft. This is what I'm having trouble with.. it is my understanding that belly putter heads are much heavier than standard length putter heads. How do I know how much to add? How would i go about adding weight to my putter head? is there any point in just removing the shaft and installing a belly putter shaft?

please delete thread, just found hackers thread

An easier way than using 2 extensions would be to use a old shaft as an extension. I did this and it worked really well. As for the weight it is more a preference thing than anything. When I built mine it was fine the way it was. The saber tooth is a pretty hefty putter as well so you might be okay.

To add weight you could use some lead powder, lead shot etc.

The easiest thing to do is to eat 4-5 triple baconators every day for a month or two..........I can now use a standard 35" putter as a belly putter
