wondering if anyone can provide info on 3 specific courses in hilton head

1 golf club at indigo run

2 - golden bear golf club

3 - country club of hilton head

likes, dislikes, views, club houses etc,

Played Golden Bear a couple of years ago---OK but not overly impressed. Country Club of HH--must play--course rating 130/70.4 from the whites--has been overseeded so you will hit off grass..Have not played Indigo Run but have heard good things If this is your first time here--don't be intimidated by the "show". Pick up the Island Packet newspaper Wednesday and Sunday for the specials. Have just noticed that some one course has just offered 2 for 1 Island West---there's no doubt there wwill be more.

am a clubcorp member, so will play the clubcorp courses only likely. am used to playing more in the west of the US, Indian wells, mission hills, coto de caza etc, so not sure what to expect here, is why i ask

I have golfed in Hilton Head on a number of oocasions. Stay away from the Hilton Head National, it's never in good condition. Good value can be found at Old South located just before you get on the island. The Fazio couse on the island is OK but can be tough. The Trent Jones club on the island is my favourite. Have fun
