I played around with the Elo calculator that's linked from the Ladder page, and it looks like it doesn't take the score into account at all. I tried scores from 1 to 9, with rating difference of up to 1000 points, and results did not change with the score at all.

Is it just the calculator that's broken, or does the ladder itself use the same formula? Or maybe I'm missing something.

It probably needs a higher spread in points to have an impact.

In Match Play golf a win is a win. The spread isn't really important so it still works for this.

So, if I understand you correctly, the score is not really taken into account? (I tried 1000 vs 2000 winning 10&9 and same ratings winning 1up - it was the same).

Don't really care which way it is, just trying to understand the system.

I thought it made some difference. I guess it does not. Elo is not a system I understand really. It's just one that is widely used for ladders of this kind.

Silly Willy vs. Rezadue played out on Saturday at Mountain Creek.
It was a good match with me being up 2 after 9. Willy brought it back to even.
On the 17th and being even, as I hit my drive I got distracted by the screaming morons on the patio ( some tournaments). I pushed my drive right and could not find it. I did play a provisional. Willy hit his and we thought it would be ok on the right side. But we could not find it. Theoretically we should have gone back to the tee to tee off, but we just assumed his ball went in the water, with no certainty. He hit his third after dropping behind the water hazard. We split the hole as a result.

On the 18th he pushed drive his right and my lack of knowledge of the course came back to bite me. I hit a great drive down the middle, only to go up and find that there was a water hazard down behing the mound protruding into fairway!!! And that was that.

I lost 1up to Willy. Looking for revenge soon.
