Are the challenges based on handicap? I would assume so right?

No, but handicaps are used when scoring.

Oh Mr. Kilroy sir, any plans on opening up the 'team' Match Play Ladder??? That one would be quite fun and interesting given the friendships that have been formed and the 'characters' in here
I can see it now, Hoolio and Sakuraba VS Indio and Hacker There wouldn't be safe to be on that course for 4 to 4 1/2 hours!Proud member of the 2009 OG/TGN Ryder Cup Champions

Have you plsyed in team match play events? I play in my home course event every year and it's hard enough to schedule four players with a single course option, I would hate to see the logistics of trying to schedule four players on a mutually agreeable course from the list around Ottawa...
It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

I was thinking teams would be tough for scheduling as well. Let's see how the singles go this year. Creating ladders is not a problem. Participation is the key.

I'm not sure what you're trying to imply here, but just because 75% of the fairways I play off aren't connected to the hole I teed off on, doesn't mean I'm responsible for the unsafe condition of the whole course.
Now I can't speak for Sak, I'm pretty sure he's got a little Australian in him the way he hit's some "boomerang" shots with that Titleist driver of his.Let's put a Smile on that Face!

Dan, can you clarify "Players may play whatever tees they wish"?
Can A play the whites, and B play the blues, or do they have to come to a mutual agreement to play from the same tees?
Just wondering because Section 3-5 of the handicap manual would factor in if different tees are used within the same match. When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

Best if you join when you get here or you may be challenged prematurely. This ladder will be open and continue to grow over time.

Good to know I'm tempted to join, but was going to refrain since I ended last season on a tear that saw my HCP index dropping as much as a whole point per round. It wouldn't be particularly fair for anyone I challenged (or anyone who challenged me) if I pick up where I left off (and I hope to ). Now I'll just wait until my index has stabilized somewhat before I opt in.

Hi, I'd like to join. Does this count as me signing up or do I have to do something else?
Thanks

Just out of curiosity how many points did the leader have and approximately how many matches would he have played?

The ladder has not started yet. The list above is not the starting rankings. Everyone will start with 1000 points. Points will be added for wins and subtracted for losses, how many points will depend on the difference between the players.

I understand how it works, I was under the assumption that you did this last year as well. However I have been mistaken before...according to the wife.

We started one last season but the software was not suitable so it was abandoned.
