What are your favourite wedges
I've used the new technology and found that the grooves shred the cover off my ball as well create too much spin at times. It was kind of cool watching my ball spin back but when it started spinning off the green it became annoying. So I went back to the old wedges and have saved a bundle on balls. Now I'm thinking of wedges again and I'm not sure what would best suit me.
So my question is: What wedges have you found that don't shred the cover but give you desired spin? Some people are like Slinkies... they're really good for nothing, ... but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs...

I really love my z-cutters. They can sometimes spin too much around the green so you have to accomodate for that but I don't find they shred balls too badly. Love the finish, the shape, basically everything about them.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

The Mizuno wedges, the MP-T and MP-R anyway, seem to offer a decent amount of spin while still not ripping the cover off the ball. Good feel too with them being forged, but their durability isn't as great because of that as well.

I haven't noticed any shredding with my Wishon CX micros.

I love the Wishon CX Micro as well - what I really like about Wishon wedges is the 0* bounce on the heel that lets you open up the face without blading the shot.

I got them from Geoff, so there's a high probability.

I use the Callaway x-tours...look good and work great. It could be more the balls than the wedges themselves. Those high spin balls like the Pro V's and HX's are going to spin more and cut easier. Just something to keep in mind.

I also use the X-Tour, but don't have the Phil Mickelson or MacDaddy grooves. So I don't have the ball shredding problem, even on the rare occasions that I use a Pro V (when I find one...). They have been great all summer 125 yds in...
I'm considering changing them though. The main reason is that I would like to go the 2 wedges route (54 and 58 degrees instead of three wedges...), the other reason is that it would be the only clubs I'm changing this year and I'm having club ho withdrawals...

RAC TP Y-cutters, but like JeffC, those Z-cutter Smokes are pretty sweet as well.
