Well I've played 24 rounds this year and have only played 2 that no or little wind. This is the same every year in Ottawa. Just think though..............it does make us better golfers.

Greensmere today
Played Greensmere for the first time today, lots of wind, especially on the front 9 which is links. Made for some very interesting club selection! The best part of playing in windy conditions - no mosquitos!
BTW very impressed with the condition and speed of the greens, fast and rolling true!

Same thing, different place
It was the same around Toronto...
161 yds upwind, 5 iron just short, right of the green...
157 yds downwind, 9 iron, back of the green, 5 feet from the pin...
But that sun was nice thoughnice_lag

I must be a good 'wind player'
With all this crazy wind happening, I went out and shot my best round of the year today. I have been quite consistent thus far, all rounds between 79-85, but today brought a 76 at Riverbend. I know.. not the most difficult course, but it is a 76. I was actually 1 under on the back until a triple happened, yikes.. The course was in pretty good shape, I was impressed. Greens were slow and it made it pretty easy to get up and down when missing greens.

Played the new Talon at Greyhawk today and that's was the strongest wind this season thus far...
7th and 17th holes: About 190 yds each - 8 iron - one in middle of green, one at back of green
14th hole - upwind - 230 yds par 3 - Driver - Front fringe!!!
Now that's some wind

Its just time...
All I care is that the wind goes away, now a breeze is just fine, but these winds lately have been killer. Really, IMO takes a bit of the fun away from the game....
