Double Trouble
A competitor hits his tee shot near a water hazard. Thinking the ball may be lost
outside the hazard he hits a provisional into the same area as his original. The player
finds both balls (one inside and one outside of the Water Hazard), but is unable to
determine which is the provisional. What does he do now?

IIRC he is allowed to proceed with ball that is in the hazard according to the rules since under equity he should not be penalized for a lost ball since his original ball is not lost. Similarly, he cannot assume that the ball outside of the hazard is his original ball since he cannot confirm it was the original.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!
