    Need help in Creating flash banners

    I am trying to make a flash banner for my wife's website. I have downloaded and used several programs which all work fine, except for when it comes to text.

    I need a way to put Arabic/Persian text into the flash animation/animated gif and make sure it displays correctly. FYI, Persian writing goes from right to left.

    Any web experts have any ideas on what I can use?

    Hey, you need to embed the fonts into the swf, otherwise it is up to the user viewing your page to supply the font, which is never a good idea.

    An alternative (although I wouldn't recommend it over the above solution) is to just write the text in something you are comfortable with, and then create an image of it ... a few seconds in a photo editor (such as macromedia's fireworks) will produce a nice transparent backgrounded png for you to put in your swf.

    I have tried doing the second method you suggested Nat and the text does not end up showing as sharp as I want it too.

    I am trying to do the first method, but am having issues with the embedding part. I have been using Adobe Flash creator, and it does not seem to like right to left vs. left to right...

    Unfortunately no, it does not work. I have tried to type it in backwards.
