    A sad end to a sad week for Fred Couples at Northern Trust

    LOS ANGELES - Not long after another bruising defeat on one of his favourite courses, Fred Couples slowly made his way to the parking lot after a week at Riviera that was turbulent in so many ways.

    What a great Sunday of golf, if Fred is anywhere close to the lead i'm a happy camper. He's still my fave. Too bad he shanked his second on eighteen!!!

    I have always been a fan of Couples,he is the coolest guy out there with the best swing.Under the circumstances we can all say that he did good.I have more respect for him now knowing what he was going through.Not sure too many of us would have lasted that long under the pressure.

    For whatever reason, I totally missed this story while watching on Sunday. I don't know how he held it together, and played as well as he did.
    Says he's going to take a month off, let's hope he can put in another good performance at Augusta.
